The previous owner of Grand Touring purchased this vehicle from a truck dealer in Sydney in 1999. Previous history is of "greyhound" use prior to their Bova auction - This was the only vehicle sold prior to auction. Apparently a local bus operator knew someone conducting the auction and supposedly went through all the vehicles and picked out the "best one".

This operator then spent a fair amount of time & money correcting the inherent abnormalities and then put it back into service, sometime during this period the engine was also rebuilt.

Upon getting this coach back to Darwin, Grand Touring fully reconditioned all the running gear and refurbished the interior to now match their other Bova, thus the coach was off the road for 8 months getting de-greyhounded.

The vehicle was purchased with the "steel" front, of which having taken moulds from the other bova, was changed back to the original giving Grand Touring a duplicate / identical pair.
